How it works

Up and running
in under an hour.

Import your won jobs, connect Xero, and you're running the full claim cycle. No implementation project. No onboarding consultant. Just a contractor and their jobs.

1

Import your won jobs

Tender-up

Upload your existing project data via CSV — or if you use Tender-up to price and win your work, push won jobs directly into Construct-it with one click. Contract value, client details and scope are pre-filled. No re-keying.

CSV template included. Download our job import template and paste in your existing job list — job number, contract value, client, status. That's all you need to get started.
2

Connect Xero in one click

Hit the Xero button in Settings, authorise the connection, and you're done. Construct-it reads your Xero contacts and chart of accounts so invoices post to exactly the right place. No manual mapping required.

Run your claim cycle

Open a project, build your schedule of values, mark this period's % complete, and approve. Construct-it calculates retention live — 10% per claim, capped at 5% of contract — and shows you the net payable before you post anything. Variations roll in automatically.

This claim gross$81,500
Retention held (10%)−$8,150
Cap reached at claim 5✓ No more retention after this
Net payable$81,500
4

Post to Xero — and stay paid

One click posts the claim as a Xero invoice with the correct retention line items — rolling out soon to every plan. The retention release schedule updates automatically — 50% flagged for release at Practical Completion, 50% at end of DLP. No double entry. Ever.

Claim → Xero invoice with retention line (rolling out soon)
50% retention release at Practical Completion
50% release at end of 12-month DLP
Payment status synced back from Xero
